Un periodista acude a investigar un atentado, perpetrado por un grupo terrorista pro árabe, con numerosas víctimas mortales, en una de las bases de EE.UU. Los criminales además han robado una de las fórmulas de un gas letal. El informador trabajará junto con su mejor amigo, el coronel jefe de seguridad de la base, quien ha perdido en la masacre a su mujer y a sus hijos.
